How chick flicks change a girls brain.

If I had a nickel for each time one of my friends complained about how unthoughtful their boyfriends are... I would be paying someone to spell check this blog... hehehe

Now this is what I think;

I believe that "chick flicks" have brain washed our brilliant brains into thinking that men ought to do certain things, and if they do not do it then they don't love us. Before you say that I don't know hat I'm talking about, let me assure you that I LOVE chick flicks! I love them! But because I have watched so many of them I can safely state that I believe that movies are making us expect certain stuff from our partners, and we feel like our relationship is boring when they don't do these things. Let's review some movies...

1. 50 first dates with Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler.
Now what does that movie teach us? If a man truly loves us he will go to great trouble to steal our hearts over and over again each day.

2. A Cinderella Story with Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray.
Smart girl manages to steal the heart of the most popular quarter back football player. Not only is he popular and very cute but he is secretly a poet. Each and every day Sam (Duff) and Austin (Murray) spend hours chatting online and through text messages. It is through those emails and text messages that Austin and Sam fall in love. Let's be honest every time we get an email or text message from that special someone we are secretly hoping that it will be one heck of a love letter. And it never is! and we get mad!

3. French Kiss with Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline.
Girl comes over to steal her ex-fiancée back from a skanky French girl. While on her flight to Paris she meets this French guy. This French guy happens to be a bad boy who is being followed by some kind of authority. at the end this French guy changes her evil ways in order to spend the rest of his life with this wonderful american woman (Ryan) and the charming American woman forgets about her dumb ex-fiancée. I'm pretty sure that we all know someone who starts a relationship with a "bad boy" and we all know that she's hoping to change his evil ways. But why do we want this? We girls want to have the pleasure to be able to say that this great man wasn't always so great, the reason why this man is so great is because he changed in order to make us happy. Don't you agree?

I must admit that sometimes I think "Well... why can't my boyfriend be as thoughtful as him?" and I know we all do it. But how would we like it if the men compared us to the girls that come out in their movies... seriously... how many Megan Fox look alike's do you know? Just like those sexy girls on guy movies, thoughtful men are very hard to find. So don't be disappointed when you open an email from that special someone and you see is a dirty joke they found online.
